WE ROCK!!

The Grouse - or the infamous Grouse - is, at its core, a three-piece rock covers outfit comprising: Stuart Day, guitar and vocals; Denis Surmon, electric bass and vocals; Rob Boundy, Drums and Vocals.

Working as a four-piece, The Grouse feature Mike Hill on guitar and vocals. The “Greater” Grouse sometimes features James “Sweet Baby” Meston on guitar, and often: David “Rocky” Rhodes (guitars). The four-piece Grouse is versatile pub-rock band that packs a punch but can still show its gentler, feminine side, often remembering to put the toilet seat down - after a Jimmy Riddle, of course. Now all we need is for the ladies to put the seat up after they use the dunny!

A speciality of the Grouse is its wide selection of Oz Rock tunes which has seen the band perform Australia Day shows at SkyCity Casino and many public venues around Adelaide.

For bigger gigs the Grouse gets bigger and Greater, shipping in the extra man-power of Phil Smith on keyboards, and the extra sheila-power of Dianne Dixon on vocals. Big or small - it's always Grouse.

The Grouse has been a regular at many hotels (Finn McCools; The Slug and Lettuce, the Rat and Parrot, Mick O’Sheas) for the past five years, and is the featured act at Maxwells Winery each year at the Sea and Vines festival, often working with Brian Cadd. The Grouse also is the "band of choice" for The Prospectors annual piss-up.
