The Sidecutters - acoustic duo

The Sidecutters presents a sound somewhat bigger than the sum of its parts!

Two members of The Grouse and pan!c ply their wares in a two-piece acoustic format with double bass, acoustic guitar (and 12-string) and vocal harmony.

Mike Hill and The Preacher Denis Surmon make a great job of any function or front bar show, even providing rhythm tracks to get the bums off seats. The duo has been working successfully for some time and features the big voice of Mike Hill on main vocals with The Preacher providing all the other bits higher, lower and in-between.

While the traditional acoustic duo is often seen sitting on stools in its natural environment (hence: tools on stools tag) the Sidecutters prefers to stand to tackle its task.

The Sidecutters were regulars at the Victoria Hotel, Flagstaff Hill, and Finn Mc Cool's (Sunday Arvo sessions) during 2008 and continue to appear at Mick O'Sheas' Sunday sessions.
