There’s nothing like a good rock festival to get you out of the house.

If only there was a good rock festival to go to.

Proper rock festivals are getting thinner on the ground every month. There are apparently many reasons for this — one of the much touted is the cost of the many insurances festival operators have to negotiate. Then there’s infrastructure and labour around the site to be hired and paid for. Security. Dunnies. Sound and light production stuff and dudes/dudesses to do it.

Then… of all the most outrageous money-grubbing grabbers, the fukken artists want to be paid! No wonder the ticket prices are eye-fukken-watering!

However The Nuts — generous in their quest for good ol’ rock music —raided their superannuation funds and bought some tickets to ‘The biggest rock show since Woodstock 69”.  What a waste of fukken money — my favourite band from ‘the good ol’ days’ hit the stage and I fell asleep… banging my head at the riverside rock show.
